Frequently asked questions

For standard sizes and finishes we work from roughly 1,000 sq ft — about 6 tonnes at 25 mm. Below that the freight cost per square foot starts to dominate the stone cost and it usually stops making sense. A full truckload is 20–25 tonnes, which is roughly 3,500–4,300 sq ft at 25 mm or 2,200–2,700 sq ft at 40 mm. For cut-to-size work, cobbles or sample orders we are more flexible; talk to us about what you actually need.

Rate depends on colour, thickness, finish, size and how tightly you need the tone matched. Grey in a natural or sawn finish is the most economical; polished green in a large calibrated format is the top of the range. We quote ex-yard Ramganjmandi and delivered-to-site separately so you can see exactly what the freight is costing you.

Yes, always — and we would rather you did. Stone is a natural material and no photograph or screen renders the colour honestly. Tell us which colours and finishes you are considering and we will courier sample pieces. For large or tone-critical orders we can send a full slab.

We dispatch across India by road, and we handle export packing for container shipment. Freight is arranged either by us or by your own transporter from our yard — whichever works out better for you. Give us the pin code and we will quote the delivered rate.

As a rough guide: 18–20 mm for wall cladding and light interior use, 20–25 mm for general interior flooring, 30–40 mm for exterior paving and courtyards, and 50–60 mm for driveways and anything taking vehicle loads. Calibrated material is more expensive per square foot but saves mortar, labour and levelling time on site.

A mirror-polished floor is slippery when wet — that is true of any polished stone. Natural, rock-faced, bush-hammered and grooved finishes all have positive grip. For bathrooms, ramps, pool surrounds and external steps specify a grooved or bush-hammered finish, and keep the polish for dry interior areas.

Sweep and mop with plain water or a pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid acidic cleaners on polished faces — Kota is a limestone and acid etches it. A polished floor can be re-polished in place when it eventually dulls, which is the real advantage of stone over tile: you refresh it rather than replace it.

Yes. Treads, risers, sills, copings, counter tops with cut-outs, and cladding panels with pre-drilled anchor slots are all done at our unit. Send the drawing with dimensions, edge profiles and tolerances marked and we will confirm what is achievable before we cut anything.

Standard terms are an advance against order confirmation with the balance before dispatch. For repeat clients and larger contracts we can discuss staged terms. We are GST registered (08AVWPG0336Q1ZW) and invoice accordingly.

Yes. We are Udyam registered (UDYAM-RJ-24-0010786) and our Amarpura unit holds ZED Bronze certification under the Ministry of MSME's Sustainable (ZED) Certification Scheme, issued July 2026. The certificate is on our About page, along with our GSTIN and other registration details.

Standard sizes and finishes held in stock can dispatch within a few days. Cut-to-size work, specific tone matching or large phased quantities typically run two to four weeks depending on the order book. We will give you a real date, not an optimistic one, when we quote.
