Where it goes
Applications
Kota limestone and Mandana sandstone are specified across eight broad categories of work. Each one has a thickness, a finish and a build-up that goes with it.
Interior flooring
Honed or polished Kota at 20–25 mm over a cement bed. Hard-wearing, cool underfoot, and re-polishable in place after decades of use rather than replaced.
- Homes, offices and institutions
- Re-polishable in situ
- 20–25 mm calibrated

Exterior paving
Natural, rock-faced or bush-hammered surfaces at 30–50 mm. Grip comes from the texture, not from a coating that wears off.
- Courtyards, plazas, campuses
- Frost and monsoon stable
- 30–50 mm
Wall cladding & facades
Rock-faced, leather or polished panels, mechanically fixed or adhered. Rock-faced elevations throw a shadow line that changes through the day.
- Elevations, boundary walls, plinths
- Cut to your setting-out
- 18–30 mm

Staircases & treads
Treads, risers and landings cut to drawing with a nosing detail and grooved anti-skid strips where the code calls for them.
- Full-piece treads to 1800 mm
- Bullnose and pencil-round edges
- 25–40 mm
Landscaping & gardens
Cobbles, setts, stepping stones, kerbs and random crazy paving. The offcut-derived products are the most economical stone landscaping you can buy.
- Paths, kerbs, stepping stones
- Hand-cut modules
- 40–60 mm

Driveways & parking
60 mm cobbles on a compacted sub-base, or 50 mm rock-faced slabs. Takes vehicle loading without the cracking you get from thin paving.
- Vehicle-rated build-ups
- Replaceable unit by unit
- 50–60 mm
Wet areas & pool surrounds
Grooved or bush-hammered faces with a low water absorption body. Kota's sub-0.4% absorption is the reason it lasts around water.
- Bathrooms, pool decks, ramps
- Positive wet grip
- 20–30 mm

Counters, sills & copings
Kitchen platforms, window sills, wall copings and vanity tops cut to size with edge profiles and cut-outs done at our unit.
- Cut-outs and profiles to drawing
- Leather or honed faces
- 20–40 mm
