Patterned and printed floor tiles
Stone designer tiles
Patterned designer floor tiles held alongside our natural stone — diamond, checkerboard, brick-bond and stone-look designs in a range of tones, stocked at the unit.
The range
A separate line, and we say so
This is a separate line from the quarried stone on the rest of this site, and we would rather say so plainly than blur the two. Designer tiles are manufactured to a repeating pattern; Kota and Mandana are cut out of the ground. Different products, different reasons to buy them.
What they are good at is pattern and predictability. Every tile in a batch matches the next one, the design repeats exactly, and you can see the finished floor before you buy it. If a client wants a diamond field, a checkerboard, a brick-bond band or a printed stone look with no tonal surprises, this is the range that does it.
We stock them in the tones you see in these photographs — greys and charcoals, warm browns and ochres, reds, and a set of geometric line designs. The boards in the pictures are our own display stock at the unit, so what you are looking at is what we can supply.
Where would we still steer you to natural stone? Anywhere the floor has to last decades under hard use, anywhere it may need re-polishing rather than replacing, and anywhere the client actually wants the movement and depth that only real stone has. Designer tiles are the right answer for pattern, budget and speed — not for longevity. We sell both and we will tell you honestly which one suits your job.

These are photographs of our own display stock, not a manufacturer's catalogue. If a board is on this page we can show it to you in person.

Choosing
Tile or stone? The honest answer.
We sell both, so we have no reason to push you either way. This is how we actually advise clients who ask.
| Designer tiles | Kota / Mandana stone | |
|---|---|---|
| Pattern | Exact repeat, no surprises | Natural movement, varies bed to bed |
| Colour consistency | Very high | Varies — sorted, not identical |
| Lifespan | Good | Decades, often generations |
| Can it be refinished? | No — replace it | Yes — re-polish in place |
| Chips and wear | Show the body underneath | Same colour all the way through |
| Best for | Pattern, budget, fast turnaround | Longevity, character, heavy use |
Short version: buy tile for pattern, budget and speed. Buy stone for longevity and for floors you want to still care about in twenty years.
